so I didn't show up at the meeting last night and they haven't called me. I thought for sure they would call from the Kingdom Hall to see if I'm coming. I await their second "meeting" with me, for sure after I don't show up for the next counsel session I'll be DF. I'm getting nervous now. This is all so new to me.

Should I wait to be questioned by the elders? or take my leave in advance?
by Thinking of Leaving inhi everyone, i recently joined this forum as i'm close to being df.
i am suppose to meet with a judical committee soon but was thinking that i don't want to go through those personal questions that i'm sure the elders would ask.
does anyone know, is it better to just tell the elders before, say like on the phone, that i want to be df and not go through the committee?

An update
by Frequent_Fader_Miles inthanks so much for the really warm welcome.
just a small confession .. my last post was actually written a couple months ago before i'd gotten the nerve to post.
i copied and pasted it ... and forgot to update it.. my wedding came off in december 2006, and my mom did attend.

Thinking of Leaving
so the elders came to my door on Saturday, after I didn't return their phone calls. Now they want me to meet with them AFTER the meeting on Wednesday night!!! Unbelievable!! Imagine I haven't gone to a meeting in months but they want me to meet with them after the meeting? where everyone can see me go into the B school to be questioned by them? are they trying to humilate me or something??? I cannot believe this.

well my only reason for leaving is not because I want to sin, I have serious doubts about the religion especially the blood issue and the matter of the 144,000. I'm sorry for calling it the "truth", I'm just so use to that term. You all know what it's like when you're just about to leavethese things are ingrained in you for a very very long time.

well I already admitted to two of them that I have sinned, so if I don't meet with them again they can go ahead and DF me. I won't be returning their calls. I won't put myself through those questions, no one should have to know the intimate details of my life.

You know something "no name given", I would not have answered those questions. I've already prepared myself to walk out of that meeting once those questions start. This is truly unbelievable

I cannot believe they would ask those questions but you all would know!!
An elder who I'm assuming is part of my JC called twice yesterday but I didn't answer the phone. I want to tell them to leave me alone and do whatever they want with me but I don't know how to muster up the courage to do this. I'm so nervous. In my heart I know what I want but I've been a JW since I was 15, this is hard.
On a side note, I saw my "worldly" boyfriend yesterday and he gave me three beautiful red roses, a wonderful card and a silver neckace for V Day. I feel so blessed to have found him. I'm in my thirties now and would of been waiting around for the perfect "brother" to do those things for me and maybe he would find me spiritual enough to marry. Let's just say I would of still been waiting. I'm already experiencing a measure of freedom and it's the most wonderful thing imagineable

are you guys absolutely sure they will ask such personal questions like if I enjoyed it or what positions??that just makes meif that's the case then I'm definitely not going to that meeting. I hardly know these elders, they never showed an active interest in me in the first place, now they want me to sit there, in front of total strangers and say what I did wrong???I will only be tempted to tell them it's none of their business and walk out of that meeting, so I should probably tell them over the phone and save them the time. As for the suggestions to lie about being in traffice and all that, I'm sorry but no matter what happens to me, DF or not, I won't lie about anything. I will still try and abide by the Bible's clear admonition to be truthful with one another. Thanks for the suggestions anyhow.
